I've always wondered: is there a drug that is taken by movie stars during sex
scenes to prevent getting an erection?

No, actors do not take anything to prevent having an erection -- that is known
as camera work. There is nothing currently available that a man can take to
prevent erections for a brief period of time. You don't usually see actors in
non-porn films with erections because it is edited out. Some actors do get
erections, others don't; for most, it depends on the scene. It is not something
that most good actors (or actresses for that matter) worry too much about. I
believe it was Jack Nicholson who once told a co-star before a hot and steamy
sex scene, "I'm sorry if I get an erection and I'm sorry if I don't."
