I read your answer to why strippers leave their shoes on. Most strip clubs in
Illinois don't serve food, and the strippers all dance in high heels! Also,
bachelor party strippers all leave their high heels on, and they dance in
private homes.
Dear, your moves are much more graceful and sensual in high heels. Without
shoes you bounce more; with heels on you appear taller. I'm a former stripper
and I would never think of dancing without heels on.

You are not the first to write me about my answer regarding why strippers always
leave their shoes on. I even got a letter from a barefoot advocacy organization,
pointing out that it is a myth that most states have laws requiring shoes where
food is served!
I oversimplified the matter. While it is true that many places do have laws
against serving food where there are bare feet, that, of course, is not the
only reason. Many men and women share your views. However, this too is a social
convention. In other cultures, and in other times, high heels have not been
considered the height of sexiness. In fact, some people consider exposed feet
to be the height of sexiness. But I agree: Health department regulations are
definitely not the only reason!
