Whenever my boyfriend and I make love, I can only have an orgasm when I'm on
top of him or if he's on top of me. Every other position that we have tried
for intercourse doesn't seem to hit me the right way, and I just can't reach
orgasm. What can my boyfriend and I do differently so that I can have orgasms
in more positions?

You describe a very common situation. During intercourse, many women have the
best luck reaching orgasm when they are on top. In this position, women are
able to receive more direct stimulation to their clitoris, the most sexually
sensitive part of the vulva. However, there are some other positions for
intercourse -- as well as other techniques that may provide you with a similar
level of pleasure.
Try lying on your back, bend your knees, and lift your legs. Your partner
can then insert his penis into your vagina while you rest your legs on his
hips as he lays on his side. A variation of this position is to have your
partner insert his upper leg in between your legs so that you can be at a
different angle for clitoral stimulation. This sounds much harder than it
is. You can also try stimulating your clitoris with your hand or your
partner's hand while in an intercourse position. Sex toys also work well
in conjunction with intercourse.
Have fun experimenting!
