It was brought to my attention that Vaseline when used with latex condoms will
damage the condom. Is this true?

YES, this is true! Do not under, any circumstances, ever use Vaseline (or any
petroleum-based lubricants) with condoms. When rubber or latex comes into contact
with Vaseline, it quickly begins to deteriorate. Add some friction -- and bingo
-- broken condom! It is probably a lack of knowledge about this that accounts
for so many complaints about condoms breaking. Instead of using Vaseline, stick
with water-based lubricants such as K-Y Jelly or Astroglide. Most people find
they work and feel better anyway.
