You are correct: Most erection rings don't come with anything even approaching
instructions. How you use one depends mostly on your personal preferences and
the type you have.
The first thing you should do is reread my safety guidelines to make sure you are
not doing anything dangerous. Then you should do some experimenting on your own,
at home.
Although there are some elaborate versions, most erection rings are simply a band
designed to be placed around the penis. The two common locations to apply them
are the bottom of the penis (in front of the testicles) or at the very
base of the penis (behind the testicles).
If you have a type that opens or stretches, it will be easier to get on. You can
place it on either an erect or flaccid penis. If you have a solid ring (which I
do not recommend), it should be placed on the penis while flaccid so
that it will fit snugly once you become erect. If you wish to place it behind
your testicles, you will need to gently push them through one by one.
Although most men find that erection rings increase the firmness of their
erections, they can also make it difficult to ejaculate, so you might want to
remove it prior to orgasm (another good reason to have one that snaps apart easily).
If it becomes too snug, remove it immediately, and never leave it on for more
than a half-hour at a time. If you have a type that cannot be easily removed
and you are in a panic, an application of ice to your penis should reduce your
erection enough to get it off. Otherwise, it'll be a trip to the emergency
room to have it sawed off.
So just use some common sense, experiment to see what feels good to you, and have fun!
