Question

I've heard a lot of sex columnists talking about the "vulva", but I
don't know what it is or where. I know where the vagina and clitoris are, but
where is the vulva? Please enlighten me. Thanks.

The vulva is not a separate part of the anatomy, but rather, the term used to
refer to the external genitalia of a woman. Thus, the vulva includes the
clitoris (and the clitoral hood), the labia minora (inner lips), labia majora
(outer lips), the mons pubis (sometimes called the "Delta of Venus"),
and the introitus (the opening to the vagina). Whether the vulva encompasses
the anus and the perineum is a matter of perspective. If you are still unclear,
want to learn more, or just want to see a diagram, you can check out MyPleasure's
Sex Education
section. My apologies for not defining this earlier.
