Can you have sex with a yeast infection? Will the man catch anything or contract it?
Can you have sexual intercourse with a yeast infection? Yes. Would you want to? Maybe not.
Having intercourse with a yeast infection is not dangerous -- it will not usually make the condition itself worse. Women may feel more itchy and sore if they choose to have intercourse because the friction may cause increased irritation. However, it is possible for your partner to contract it from you (whether they are male or female). If this happens you may end up in a cycle of passing the yeast infection back and forth to each other. If this happens, your partner should get treated as well.
We often don't think of men getting yeast infections, but that is exactly what "jock itch" is. A yeast infection is given different names, depending on where it is located on the body (e.g., athlete's foot). No matter what you call it, it is still a yeast infection. So, either pleasure each other in a way that doesn't carry a risk of transmission or use condoms until your infection is gone. Otherwise, you could both be seeing red (and feeling itchy!).
