Step Three: Ordering and Purchasing a Product

Once you've decided what you want, ordering and purchasing your product is a snap. Here's how to do it:

Putting Items in Your Shopping Bag


How to put items in your Shopping Bag, remove them, change quantities and use gift certificates or promotional codes.

As you're browsing through our store, you'll see two types of pages.

  • Department Pages show all the products in a given department or sub-department, such as our entire line of Traditional Vibrators or Massage Oils. You'll see small photos and short descriptions of each product -- just enough information to give you a good idea of what the product is like. When you see a product that looks interesting, click on the picture of the product or on the highlighted product name, and you'll be taken to the Product Page.
  • Product Pages include larger photos, more detailed descriptions, battery requirements, dimensions, customer reviews and other product suggestions. If you like what you see, click on the yellow "Add to Shopping Bag" button to order the product. If you want to browse further, use either the navigation links at the top of the page or your browser's "back" button to return to the Department Pages.
To order a product, you must go to its product page. Either browse through the store or use the Search function if you know the product's name. On the product page, below the photo of the product, you will see a large, yellow button that says, "Add to Shopping Bag." Click that yellow button. You will be taken to your Shopping Bag, where you will see the item you selected along with its quantity and price.

You can update the quantity of the item in the basket by changing the number in the quantity field (example: 2 instead of 1) and then clicking the small link next to the quantity field that says, "Update." You can remove the item from your Shopping Bag by clicking the small link next to the quantity field that says, "Delete."

You can now return to the store and continue shopping for as long as you like, adding and changing the contents of your Shopping Bag until you're happy with your final selections. When you're ready to start checking out, just scroll down to the bottom of the Shopping Bag, where you will see the total cost of the items you're purchasing.

If you have a Gift Certificate, this is your chance to use it! Enter the gift certificate code, exactly as you see it on your paper or electronic gift certificate, into the field labeled, "Have a Gift Certificate?" and proceed. If you have a Special Offer Code from MyPleasure or one of our sister sites, or if you have another promotional offer, you can also claim it here. Just enter the exact code into the field marked, "Have a Special Offer Code?" and proceed. Now you're ready to continue. At the bottom of the page, you'll see two options. You can elect to "Return to Shopping," which will return you to the store, where you can select more items, or you can select the yellow button that reads, "Proceed to Checkout." Clicking that button will begin your final checkout process at MyPleasure.

Entering Your Shipping Information


How to select your shipment method and enter the address where you'd like the item shipped.

Once you click "Proceed to Checkout," you'll be taken to the second page of your Shopping Bag. The first thing you'll be asked to do is select your shipping method. MyPleasure offers a number of different shipping methods, including FedEx® Home, FedEx® 2Day, FedEx® Overnight and FedEx® International Service. You can read more about each of these shipping options on our Shipping Information Page. Please be sure to note our shipping cutoff times!

Next, you'll be asked to enter your Shipping Information, the name and address where you'd like the package shipped. We recommend that if you' re not going to be at home during the day to accept your package, you have it shipped to your work or other location. MyPleasure packages are discreetly packaged, so you don't need to worry about others finding out about your special purchase!

Your Billing Address can be the same as or different from the Shipping Address. If you'd like to ship your items to an address other than your Billing Address, that's no problem! You'll be asked to enter your Billing Address on the final page of the Shopping Bag. Please note, though, that while none of your credit card information will appear on the packing slip included with your shipment, your billing address will appear, so gifts cannot be anonymous.

You'll now be asked to select whether you want to "Pay with Check" or "Pay with Credit Card." If you click the "Pay with Check" button, you can use your paper check to pay online. If you click the "Pay with Credit Card" option, you can use your Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express online. Please Note: If you wish to pay by mailing in your order with a paper check or money order, you can select either option. You will be given instructions on the final page of the Shopping Bag for mailing in your order and check or money order.

Entering Your Billing Information and Paying

Paying With a Check Online

You're now on the final page of the Shopping Bag. At the top, you should see a summary of all the items in your Shopping Bag, as well as your charges for shipping and tax, if applicable. You should also see the amounts of any Gift Certificates or Special Offer Codes you used deducted. If you have used a Special Offer Code or Gift Certificate and do not see the correct amount deducted, you should contact MyPleasure Customer Service at customerservice@mypleasure.com or 1-866-MYPLEASURE before placing your order! Please be sure to check the total in your shopping bag before you continue.

You'll then be asked to enter your Billing Address. This is the address associated with the checking account being used to purchase the item or items in your Shopping Bag. If you are shipping your items to an address other than the Billing Address, that's no problem! You've already entered the Shipping Address. Please note though, that while none of your check information will appear on the packing slip included with your shipment, your Billing Address will appear, so gifts cannot be anonymous.

Next, you'll be asked to enter your checking account billing information, your check information and your verification information. For more information on using TeleCheck online, please read our Internet Check FAQ or the TeleCheck Privacy Policy.

Before you complete your order, please be certain these are the items you want! We cannot cancel or change orders once they have been placed! When you're certain you are ready to complete your transaction, click the yellow button that reads, "I Authorize This Transaction" and your order will be processed. Please see the section below entitled "Confirming Your Order" for the next part of the process.

Paying With a Credit Card Online

You're now on the final page of the Shopping Bag. At the top, you should see a summary of all the items in your Shopping Bag, as well as your charges for shipping and tax, if applicable. You should also see the amounts of any Gift Certificates or Special Offer Codes you used deducted from your total. If you have used a Special Offer Code or Gift Certificate and do not see the correct amount deducted, you should contact MyPleasure customer service at customerservice@mypleasure.com or 1-866-MYPLEASURE before completing your order! Please be sure to check the total in your shopping bag before you continue.

You'll then be asked to enter your Billing Information into the Shopping Bag. This is the address associated with the credit card you are using to purchase the item or items in your Shopping Bag. Your Billing Address can be the same as or different from the Shipping Address. If you'd like to ship your items to an address other than your Billing Address, that' s no problem! You've already entered the Shipping Address. Please note, though, that while none of your credit card information will appear on the packing slip included with your shipment, your Billing Address will appear, so gifts cannot be anonymous.

Finally, you'll be asked to provide your credit card information. MyPleasure accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express for online purchases.

Before you complete your order, please be certain these are the items you want! We cannot cancel or change orders once they have been placed! Once you've completed all of these steps, click the yellow button that says "Finish Checkout" and you're on your way. It is very important that you do not hit the "Finish Checkout" button more than once! Doing this may create a duplicate order that we won't be able to cancel before it leaves the warehouse.

Next you'll get a screen telling you that we're processing your order. Once your order has processed, you'll see your receipt on the screen. We recommend bookmarking and saving your receipt for your own records. Once we've shipped your item, you'll be able to find your tracking number and shipping information on this page, as well.

If there appears to be an error with your order processing, such as your receipt page not appearing, your confirmation email not arriving or your computer freezing up, before re-submitting your order, please contact MyPleasure Customer Service at customerservice@mypleasure.com or 1-866-MYPLEASURE to check and see if your order has been placed. Do not use your browser's back button to return to the last page of the Shopping Bag and hit the "Finish Checkout" button again! We cannot be responsible for refunds or exchanges on duplicate orders, and we cannot cancel orders once they have been placed.

Paying With a Check or Money Order via Mail

If you would prefer to pay by mail with a check or money order, select "Pay by Mail Order."

You're now on the final page of the Shopping Bag. At the top, you should see a summary of all the items in your Shopping Bag, as well as your charges for shipping and tax, if applicable. You should also see the amounts of any Gift Certificates or Special Offer Codes you used deducted from your total. If you have used a Special Offer Code or Gift Certificate and do not see the correct amount deducted, you should contact MyPleasure customer service at service@mypleasure.com or 1-866-MYPLEASURE before placing your order! Please be sure to check the total in your shopping bag before you continue.

The next page will allow you to choose a different billing address, if necessary, and confirm all shipping information. If all the information provided is correct, simply click on the "Continue" button provided at the bottom of that page. Now that your Order Form is complete, please print it out and mail it along with your payment to:

Once we receive your order, one of two things will happen:

  • If you've paid with a money order and all your items are in stock, we'll ship your order immediately.
  • If you've paid with a check, we'll wait for your check to clear, which can take anywhere from five to fifteen business day. Once it clears, if all your items are in stock, we'll ship your order immediately.
If you would prefer, you can email us at service@MyPleasure.com with all shipping and billing information along with products desired. We will then provide you a link via email to your Order Form for you to print out.

Please note:

  • We can only accept checks that are imprinted with your name and address.
  • Orders paid for by personal check can take up to three weeks to process.
  • Orders are subject to stock availability.
  • Mail orders, either by check or by money order, can only be returned for store credit.
  • To get a confirmation of your order being received and a shipping confirmation, an email address must be included.
In the event that any of the items you ordered are not in stock, we'll contact you via email, if possible, to ask you what you would like us to do. If you have not provided valid contact information, we will simply wait for the backordered items to arrive and then ship your completed order.

It is very unlikely that any items you ordered will be out of stock. However, our website reflects our current, in-stock inventory. By choosing to mail in your order, you risk the possibility that our inventory will change during the period of time it takes for us to receive and process your payment. For this reason, we strongly recommend you take advantage of online ordering options. If you are more comfortable mailing in your order, we recommend using a money order, rather than a check, to avoid the time delay of waiting for your check to clear. Please note that orders placed by mailing in a check or money order can only be given store credit in the case of a return.

Confirming Your Order


How to be sure your order processed and what to expect from us.

If you ordered online and provided a valid email address, you'll now receive two emails from us: The first will confirm that we've received your order and will process it for shipping. The second email will be sent once we've shipped your order and will give you detailed shipment tracking information.

If you've ordered by mailing in your check or money order, you can email us at any time at customerservice@mypleasure.com or call us at 1-866-MYPLEASURE to check on your order status.

Your package should arrive in the amount of time corresponding to the shipping option you selected. If you have a problem or are dissatisfied with your product or the service you experienced, you can utilize MyPleasure Customer Service for care and support after you have completed your purchase.
