It was even painful for her - not due to the lack of lubricant, because we used plenty enough. It simply wasn't comfortable. I'll convince her to try again - based on the other reviews, it should be comfortable and work!!! The actual measured dimensions are.. 8 X 1.75 with 1.5" extension. I made a silicone plug for the end so its now a 3" extension :) As some others have said, use a little lube and place a straw all the way down the end of the extension, the air will go out the straw and create a suction that holds it on really tight. Trimmed, it fit me tightly when erect. The inside diameter is 1 3/16", head is ~5" in circum. This toy is all about her, and that's cool. It's like a large, thick condom. Couldn't feel her at all, just a vacuum effect on the outstroke. She enjoyed it. I'm going to try the silicone plug trick on the next one to get two more inches out of it. Once you're erect and have this thing on, it grips with a great deal of suction power. No danger of it slipping off.
