I don't recommend buying batteries for it (unless you buy rechargeable batteries). Use an AC adapter instead. The adjustable speed dial is also a great feature. -- If you don't want to waste money on batteries, buy an A/C Adapter at Radio Shack! It's a simple 12v 500-800mA power adapter. Just bring in the battery box and cord and tell them you want an A/C adapter instead, and they'll set you up with it.
